Trauma-Informed Yoga

Heal . Grow . Resilience

Trauma is understood as a confounding emotional response to a terrible event that persists long after the event. What often is not understood is that trauma is sufficiently gripping to create a legacy through generations. No one is immune from trauma, it is interwoven into our minds and bodies.

This trauma-informed yoga channel has videos on everything about trauma, videos on holistic coping mechanisms, and yoga classes both in the chair and on the mat. It can be intimidating to walk into a yoga studio let alone talk about trauma, so I wanted to create a space where I can meet you where you’re at, and you can watch the videos in a place where you feel safe.

For a one time fee of $75 you will have unlimited access to all of the videos at any time, with new trauma and yoga videos added regularly. Click on the above link to purchase. Movement helps the body heal, and knowledge is power, and so the more you move and the more you know, the better you will feel.

Let’s keep healing and growing together!

Love,

Kelly

Transform Yourself: Trauma-Informed Yoga for Lawyers CLE

Practicing law can be intense, stressful, but also rewarding. Dealing with difficult or unreasonable clients, long hours of preparation, and the personal sense of loss when a lawyer loses in court can contribute to a crucible of trauma.

A lawyer’s personal experience of trauma may rise to the forefront as they are vicariously exposed to the distress and upheaval of clients’ lives. Lawyers need coping mechanisms.

Trauma is understood as a confounding emotional response to a terrible event that persists long after the event. What often is not understood is that trauma is sufficiently gripping to create a legacy through generations.

This virtual CLE addresses relevant Rules of Professional Conduct, case law, and underlying reasons that make lawyers prone to substance abuse, addictions, and subsequent misconduct.

Whether trauma stems from a personal circumstance or is practice-related, these simple yoga practices and insightful content can help. Plus, you will also receive a toolkit; suggestions for holistic coping skills that are pleasurable and even fun; including an explanation of not just the practice of yoga, but its mindset.

What is trauma-informed yoga?

There is ever-increasing awareness and research linking the mind-body connection and how the practice of yoga can help ease the stresses of trauma. Trauma is not a "one size fits all", there are many types of trauma: physical, emotional, mental. As a studio, we want to make sure our offerings will help you heal in the space where you feel comfortable, safe, seen, and welcome.
Whether your body has undergone the stress of a serious illness, your job has put you in a position to witness traumatic events, or your life experiences lead your mind or body to shut down/fire off... trauma is nearly unavoidable.

Our commitment is to offer classes specifically designed to meet the needs of students on their journey to heal.

If you have any questions or would like to refer a counseling service for consideration, please email kellyp@circleoflifeyoga.net
